About the Role
Title: Engineer – CAD CAM 3
Pay: 70 USD/hr
Location: Chandler, AZ
Why Hiring: Need for experienced PWB design engineers; Support for military/aerospace avionics projects
End Product: Printed wiring boards for military/aerospace avionics
Tech/Domain Environment:
- Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Layout, Mentor PADS, Xpedition
- Windows OS
- IPC-2221, IPC-7351
- CAM350, Valor DFM
Job Duties:
- Design/layout printed wiring boards for military/aerospace applications
- Communicate project status to management
- Collaborate with circuit and mechanical engineers
- Participate in peer and design milestone reviews
- Prepare artwork (ODB++, Gerbers) for PWB fabrication
- Manage footprint/symbol creation and library
Must Haves:
- 5+ years PWB design layout experience using Cadence Allegro in production
- Experience with multilayer boards (6-16 layers) in production
- Layout/routing experience for digital and analog circuits in production
- Experience with high-speed digital and controlled-impedance circuits (SERDES, DDR3/DDR4) in production
- Experience with rigid-flex assemblies in production
- Ability to prepare ODB++ and Gerbers for PWB fabrication in production
- Extensive experience with footprint/symbol creation and library management in production
- Understanding of IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 specifications in production
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Nice to Haves:
- Understanding of Printed Wiring Assembly manufacturing process
- Experience with CAM350 and/or Valor DFM software tools
- Experience with OrCAD Layout and Mentor PADS or Xpedition tool suites
Disqualifiers:
- No PWB design experience
- Only academic/POC experience with Cadence Allegro
- No experience with multilayer boards
